Green is the color of my true love’s eyes...
A Polymer Clay Caning Class in Southern France with Sarah Shriver
June 4-11, 2007

The entry door to La Cascades. Copyright 2006 - Gwen Gibson.

Tell a story using color as symbol. Each color has meaning relative to history, personal experience and each of the other colors. We explored those meanings and developed a personal sense of color by building layers and layers of complex color blends into a polymer clay cane that was used to make wonderful beads and jewelry. Sarah will guide you through tons of caning techniques and share her enthusiasm for fine craftsmanship at this wonderful venue in the south of France at Gwen Gibson's studio, La Cascade, in Durfort. Please visit to see all of the details about the town and its surroundings. A more descriptive trip report is in the works.

The seven day workshop included the class, charming lodging and most meals.

Be sure to check out Gwen's site for exciting details about the location. To see how much fun this class was in 2005, go HERE.
